A Little Bit About Your Teachers
Ms. Miller:
I am so delighted to have the opportunity to teach again, after a short-lived retirement, until Kelly Weist returns from her teaching opportunity in India. I have been teaching in the Methow Valley School District since 1977. I retired in 2011 for a short time then returned to fill this two year substitute position. I have loved the students and the exceptional staff since I have been back. We are all so fortunate to have such an extraordinary school system in our community.
In the photo above, I have three of my four children and their families. Enjoying time with my grandchildren is my very favorite thing. I look forward to many more years living here on the periphery of the school system, watching them all grow up and celebrating the lives they create for themselves.
Thanks for sharing your families with me. -Mindy Miller

Mrs. Duguay:
As many of you know, my name is Jennifer Mendro Duguay and I'm a Methow girl. I lived here all my life (except for a year as an exchange student in Finland) until I went to college in Seattle. I married my husband Bill in 1987 and then we went on some adventures. We were in the Peace Corps in Mali, West Africa; we lived in Ellensburg for awhile and Seattle a bit and then we decided to come home and raise our children here. I have a daughter, Johnnie, who lives in Winthrop, and a son, Willy, who recently graduated from Gonzaga University and is now also living in Winthrop. They both went to Methow Valley Elementary School and graduated from Liberty Bell. Bill and I live on the Gold Creek Loop Road with our dog, horse and cat. I love teaching and I especially love teaching fifth grade. This is my fifteenth year in fifth grade! I welcome volunteers, guest teachers and any suggestions or questions. My email is [email protected] and my phone number is (509)733-0139.
